After graduating from high school, I had dreams and aspirations of becoming a nurse.  That quickly changed once I learned of my intense fear for needles.  While receiving my admission immunizations, I blacked out and woke up shortly after on the hallway floor of the doctor’s office.  It didn’t take much convincing after that to decide I needed to choose a different path.

In 2001, I started the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Clarkson College in Omaha, NE.  I immediately fell in love with my classes and the new opportunities I had before me.  While in school, I completed a clinical rotation with a therapist practicing Postural Restoration.  Not knowing where the material originated from, I knew it fascinated me.  Enough so that I went back to school after my clinical and shared the information on this approach with my classmates.  Shortly before graduation, I found out the Hruska Clinic was in search of a physical therapist assistant.  This opportunity could not have happened at a more suitable time for me, and I began working here in September of 2003.

Over the last few years, my role at Hruska Clinic has evolved.  Along with treating patients and developing educational handouts, I now spend half of my time working in the Postural Restoration Institute™ (PRI).  This opportunity has provided me the benefit of educating physical therapists throughout the country about PRI as well as continuing in patient care.  In December of 2008, after practicing Postural Restoration for several years, I became Postural Restoration Certified.  I am the first physical therapist assistant to earn this recognition!

While not at work, I spend the majority of my time with my dog, Miles and husband Mark.  Miles is a spoiled Rhodesian Ridgeback who challenges us every day and never fails to give us a good story to share (click here).  To email Bobbie, .
