Dave speaks at Gentiva’s annual meeting in Omaha…

Posted 10/27/2011

On Wednesday, the 19th of October, Dave went to Omaha and did an informative talk to a group of about 100 physical and occupational therapists. The event was sponsored by Gentiva, a home health organization, but was open to therapists in and around the Omaha area whether they work in home health or not. Gentiva holds the event annually, but this is the first year that a talk was done about Postural Restoration. Dave provided an introduction to the group about Postural Restoration, and he felt the information was well received. Dave says he felt honored to represent the Hruska Clinic and the Postural Restoration Institute and looks forward to similar opportunities in the future.

We are very proud of Jennifer Gloystein… She is running the half-marathon for a great cause!!

Jen has dedicated the past several months to training for the Lincoln Half Marathon, taking place this Sunday.  All of us at the Hruska Clinic are very proud of her committment, hard work and dedication to a very worthy cause - Running For Jess.  Here is an excerpt from Jen’s fundraising page:

“I have committed to running the Lincoln 1/2 Martathon this year In Loving Memory of Jessica Lutton Bedient. My cousin Tony and his wife Jess were married on September 3, 2010. Just 5 weeks later, they were hit by a drunk driver in Omaha, and were both critically injured. Jess’s injuries were fatal, while Tony continues to recover physically and emotionally from the crash.

Jess was so involved in community and world-wide service. She spent time in several countries including the Phillipines and Tanzania volunteering at orphanages. She wanted to take Tony to Haiti for their Honeymoon, which unfortunately never happened, as they were hoping to Honeymoon in January when they were both on break from school.

Our team “Run for Jess” goal is to raise $20,000 as we train for the 1/2 marathon, in order to fullfill one of Jess’s goals in life....build a school in Tanzania. I hope to travel with my cousin Tony and other family & friends in 2012 to Tanzania to build this school in Jess’s loving memory.”
